Wishing you all the best luck on your next set! Will you be getting those eggs in time to set for this thread?

They are adorable..........I can never get my fill of little fuzzy butts running around. That one to the left of the photo seems to be stretching its wings.....tooooo cute!

What did you mark your eggs with? That is easy to read!

Sharpie

Have you used sharpie before on successful hatches? I am about to mark mine and do not want to ad anymore risk factors. Thanks!

Yes.

Although, I did breathe a big sigh of relief the other day when amazondoc posted that she uses a Sharpie as well.

I've used a Sharpie and had great hatches, but I've switched to Crayola non-toxic washable markers, they have worked great and they come in waaaaaay more colors than the sharpies and they are less expensive.

I haven't had any issues with the marker washing or wearing off but it probably would if a person was using a broody hen instead of an incubator.

Ok I'm locked and loaded

but in the end, I was only able to fit 18 eggs in. I think Marans eggs are too wide to fit more.

Anyone have 5 quail eggs they want me to hatch for them?
