Marans Madness March Hatch Along.....

That incubator is AWESOME - what is it and how much?

It's an R-Com 20. It's new and this is the inaugural hatch. It's dummy proof, but I have a few eggs in there which may not be fertile, so I might not get a great hatch rate this time around.

Thank you 3 Chickens! I think this will be a very stress-free, easy incubator to use. You are hatching, right?
Oh, wait. Yours already hatched. They are the little cuties on page 4

Well, I gotta tell you, it was so easy to set up, I was disappointed. Ahahahahha. I had been waiting forever to get an incubator and I was so excited, but when I set it up it was completely uneventful-it was over in 10 minutes.

I expect hatching and brooding the chicks will be much more interesting-and probably a little stressful.

Update 03/07 hatch
Lockdown today. I have difficulty candling the blue and black CMs eggs so I just left them all in my bator. They are due to hatch this Sunday . Hopefully they all hatch.

Ok, change of plans........and I MUST MAKE A DECISION TODAY.....HELP! I was going to put those eggs in the bator yesterday until I found a broody BCM hen out in the laying coop yesterday. Oh there's no doubt about either, she's broody.

I haven't had a girl go broody in 2 years, matter of fact, 2 years almost exactly since my last broody and she is bound and determined to sit on absolutely nuttin.

Here's my predicament......I have some beautiful Barnevelder eggs coming on Monday or Tuesday...........Do I let the broody pull her weight and set on the Marans eggs (which would be totally cool) or do I wait and put the Barnie eggs under her?
Hurry, someone tell me what I should do, Drom has already set her eggs and I am suppose to be setting with her, I'm such a bad hatch buddy.

Bravo~ Sorry to hear of your hatch! You should definitely try again sometime.

Oh, I would definitely let that girl hatch her eggs out. I tried that once but I guess my girl just didn't stay put on them enough.
Post a pic of your broody instead of your incubator-
