Aaah maaan Marans egg photos, and I even have to tell my mom this ALL the time, are soo hard to photograph correctly. Seriously that photo makes the egg look like a 4 or 5, but to your own naked eyes, it doesn't look it, right? I think it's the specularity of the egg.

Cage wear... When their feet are soft.. (due to rains here) and then you put them on a cage floor and it tears up thier feet doesn't it?? We had that happen to our birds one year for 4h fair.

At the midwest shows they furnish pine shavings for the cages, and you can take a few along to ad to what is already there to build up the shavings. All the open shows are setup with wood bottoms and the collapsible cages, should not be a problem.

Oh.. okay!!! Well as I said before... I have shown at the fair but not at a "real" show.... So I guess it is a little snazzier. Thanks... that allays my fears...

I am not really out to win a ribbon but one should be prepared as best they can... I just want to make sure our hobby is represented... I am going with an old pro.. (just local one) but someone who knows the lay of the land anyhow.

Pink... you gonna go?? I forgot your answer... I am leaning on you now...
