Marans Thread - breed discussion & pictures are welcome!

bardies, that's great that the eggs are spherical in shape; that's more the ideal shape we are looking for in a Marans eggs. Another hint - when I have the ones that are quite round like that, I go ahead & pop them in the incubator & candle at 5 days; by then, the air cell has developed a bit more, and then I simply turn them to the proper orientation. It doens't hurt them a bit.

I do that too.... I just didn't know if it was a good thing or not

I'm pretty sure it's not going to end..........ever.......I stuck my car in a snow drift this morning. Nice.
 
Oh no! You ok? The car ok?

We have avoided snow and ice.... we may have had snow once but didn't stick to the roads.
I'm fine, it was a dumb response on my part to a very tall snowdrift that a truck had passed through already; figured I could just right through in the path of the previous tries, but apparently it was quite a TALL truck. Much taller than I was able to push through. Haven't looked at the car...didn't want to. DH dug me out and took me to work in our 4WD dually. Sigh.
