It's the male that could be a split, carrying one gene for yellow and one for white legs. It might not always be obvious by the color he is showing so you would have to test mate him to find out. The females only carry one set of genes so what you see is what you have got. Yellow legs is caused by a recessive gene so you would need two birds carrying that gene to show itself.
Yellow legs in Marans is a DQ.
