ok I continue to be soo very impressed. Pink, geeb you two are up?! I am just making coffee and the only reason I am doing that on a Saturday is the my son has a riding lesson at 8:30am. Otherwise I would still be abed.

geebs, you said there is a difference between meat and blood spots. I have mostly seem meat spots in my marans egg. Are blood spots caused by lighting and such and maybe meat spots are a young marans pullet thing? seems to be some debate over what is causing them, and if they are different things than maybe they have different causes? I am curious as these marans are the first birds I've had that have egg meat spots, and it seems very consistent.... so far. I must admit I have only had two girls lay, and they are only 8-9 months.

No snow.....yet......freezing rain, possible snow tonight and suppose to be snow Sunday night. I'm all set and ready for it if need be.

Geebs that is interesting as sweet potatoes have estrogen. I will try that. thanks

equine riding lessons. We have our own horse, and pony, but I am not a very good teacher. He loves his instructor, and seems to be a decent rider, for a 7yr old. good balance and rhythm.
