Nice colors you have there! I love the dark eggs!
Thank you

Thanks for the encouragement, guys. They are supposedly Wade Jeane, and I bought them not too far from where he started them. I've always had pet chickens and sold extras, but I'm going to work with these

If I have a Black copper roo and a blue copper hen, does that mean the boys will be blue and my girls black copper? and both my hen and roo have grey legs, but only some of my chicks have grey legs. What are the pink feet indicative of? I'm still in my very first hatch...6 are out, 2 pipped, and 9 left to go...

She is my only marans hen, and her eggs were darker in the beginning, but I've recently gotten a few that are much lighter with dark speckles. Does that have any significance?

Those are not looking like purebred Marans to me. The cock/erel does not have correct copper markings at all and the hen has some very funky coloring on her. Individual photos from the side at bird level will help us help you identify what may be going on with them.

In any blue to black mating, each chick has a 50% chance of being blue and 50% chance of being black. Some hens do lighten the color of their eggs as the laying season progresses.
