Here are the 3 survivors of my terrible hatch from 20 eggs. Bought from 2 different sources. 2 with the nice feathering on legs and one fairly light ( not for breeding)

Hello I have been looking for maran for @ least 7 months and no luck well I find the roos but no one wants to give up hens or they are charing way to much per chick/hen figured I would try this place out just created an account I am located in Rhode Island does anyone happen to have any birds for sale

Marseilles and Eperny are both laying now, and I'm pleased to report that I have never been prouder of my sweet Marans girls.


First egg: BCM. Second and fourth eggs: BSM. The other two dark eggs belong to a Welsummer and Wyandotte.

Same here. We started with standard feed store barred rocks, buff orpingtons, and a couple ameracaunas... then the fun began.

Now we've got 20-something breeds of chickens and 5 breeds of ducks......it's an obsession!
