Nice looking eggs... Are they from BC? Are these from the Presley line... I ask because they all have the matte finish... (well most of them) Is that a trait of that line???

Do you know if the matte is just one line or the other or just random. I don't know where my glass is.. I always thought it was milk glass from years ago... Used to belong to my Ma in Law.. (deceased) I have a few pieces from her...Including an entire Fransican set from post war. One of the first firings.. Love that heritage stuff... Fun to take pix in the old egg dishes... Seems like ppl took more time with thier eggs back then... Dishes made specifically for eggs.

I am new to this, BUT those appear to be Very nice looking Marans eggs!

The Matte finish is mostly on the lighter eggs, do not see much of it on the darker eggs. To be honest I do not know where it comes from. I get a very high percentage of Matte though. To hatch my Marans they only have to be a 6 on the egg scale. I have about 100 younger pullets that are not laying as yet, I really like the type on some.
