All I can say is... It is a fact that there is copper there from somewhere... You can choose to breed it out... or embrace the copper and breed him to copper necked females...

That is what I would do... Gotta love those Duracells...Hey now that is a good roo name...I might just have to use that...

I don't see that much coppering, but it could be my screen. This can ALSO happen just from the sun fading the feathers. OR from feeding too much corn.

A few days ago I brought up about maybe doing a discussion on the tail of the Marans all varietys included. Most of the female I have seen have the pinched tail and a few of the males. I have found with my other breeds that If you locate a male that has a more rounded tail like an inverted U and use over the female it will open up the tail section and will not be pinched. I have not done any work on this fault as I was working on Type faults in other places.

For the high or low tail just use a bird that is opposite.

Anyone have any proven ideas I sure would like to hear them as I am getting ready to mate some single matings.
