Ohh I think he is pretty. I like that coloring in the first pic!! They are all pretty though. You have alot of pretty birds. I am starting to think my little splash might be a roo now. It is starting to stand like one lol.

Mathace: I am jealous, I wanna gazebo lol. Make sure and put some pics up somewhere when its done. If I had one, it would just be full of plants though like everything else lol.
It was such a nice day today, I weeded whats left of my pepper garden and repotted a bunch of stuff, basically stayed outside all day. I am loving these cooler nights and mornings!
I have to start thinking about getting ready to set up my winter greenhouse pretty soon!

LOL @ the eggwalk. I read somewhere that feeding cayenne pepper makes them lay. Has anyone here tried that?

Last winter when my laying flock, ( not Marans), had slowed way down on egg production, I would sprinkle cayenne pepper flakes on feed and on yougrt treats etc. After 2- 3 days of this egg production was up about 25% So not a miracle cure, but did help.

Your Welcome.

Yes, Black Copper x Splash Copper will give you 100% Blue Copper.
Now when you start making those BL-Cprs you know you have to show them to us.

Oh and thanks for the names that you all contributed. I think that I must go with the name "Slate", THANKS CHOOKS!

So, if I give her a bath now, does that mean that "I'm wiping the "Slate" clean?"

Pink: She is a new pullet that you will use for breeding then you are "starting with a new slate"... (had to add that!!)
