Thanks Pink! That's Clyde. Everytime I tried to turn him to take another angle, he would jump back into this pose. It was almost like he was saying, "You talking to ME? Oh no, YOU did NOT just touch ME!" Yup, I think I have my first roo with 'tude!

When I got my chicks - - the 4 girls from the hatch - - one had no feathers, one had VERY SPRASLEY feathered legs, and the other two had nicely feathered legs. So, they must of came from a pairing that involved some lightly feathered and regular feathered legs. . .

That is an easy fix. There are no perfect birds. . so you will be breeding to fix something. If legs was all I had to worry about - - -I would be celebrating !

Thanks. I just like the looks of Black Copper Marans hens and wanted some dark eggs. I can't keep a rooster here so will not be doing any breeding. So really it doesn't matter that it doesn't have feathered legs, I just know it should. I will be just waiting to see if it turns out to be a pullet or not. If its a rooster, I have to give it away and try try again with the hatching eggs.
