Thankyou...none are hatchery birds, and all my hens from an old man in California and they are feather shanked and some toes...I cannot find a Freanch Silver Cuckoo Roo, so have this guy and his brother, am trying to get feathered shanks back...this Silver Cockerals are BIG!!

Dustbath time...Rub-a-dub 3 hens in the tub: 1 blue and 2 Splash hens in a dust bath, warmed by the sun....

and in walks big Daddy and says "Can we have some privacy here pleeeze ?"

Cute dustbath pics Chickenlady. Big Daddy does look like he is feeling left out LOL! I also love your silver cuckoo roo. If he had feathered shanks I'd be over there stealing him LOL!
One year dh bought the kids a bunch of dyed chicks. I think they turned out to be 7 barred rock females and 1 male. My mom got some dyed ones in Phx when my sister and I were teenagers and they all turned out to be evil roosters lol. She let them run around the front yard for awhile. I think she did it on purpose to chase any boy friends off lol...those roosters and the tom cat we had, that peed backwards on strangers were probably a good deterrent
