Chicken checkers??? Sounds like yours will be in confinement for a couple of days. We had sweeeet weather here today, but tomorrow is bringing in an arctic cold front, so will wake up to 50* and go to bed with 10*! They are calling for "light" snow (yeh hate it when they say that!), and wind chills in the single digits. Guess winter is here for sure...

I am home. Couldn't go to Shawnee.... my car decided to give me problems. Mike is working out of state, and I am stranded at home!

She flies up to get out. All my pens, except 2 have net covering them. Of course, she is in one without netting. Silly girl comes out to visit our dog and share his dog food. Yes, she is a layer. She is over a year old.

Okay, there's been a lot of discussion about the SOP with roosters garnering the most attention. I have a question. What is the "Ideal" amount of coppering for a BCM hen? I've seen different amounts, and I'm just not sure. How much copper in the hackles? How about on the breast? Is there a picture somewhere that shows the ideal? How about a drawing? I'm a visual kind of person.
