Berk~ I think there are 3 genes involved in shank feathering, Pti-1, Pti-2 and Pti-3, 2 are dominant and one is recessive.

These aren't very good pics, but they all looked pretty much the same. Some were almost totally black and some were black and white.

Anyway, can someone help me understand why most of my 'BCM' chicks are hatching out wheatens?

Ha! Funny what things kids remember from their childhoods! My daughter just e-mailed me asking for the recipe for Potato Candy. We used to call it "poor candy", cause it was all we could afford sometimes back then to satisfy a sweet tooth!

Now she's got my mouth watering. Maybe I'll make some for Christmas...if my gut is behaving!
