Yeh, probably more trouble than I'm willing to take on. We had one about a mile down the road from here, and you could hear him very plainly! My closest neighbor is about 1/8 of a mile from me, less as the crow flies, so they may not be too happy with me. On the other hand...it would drown out that aggravating, constantly bawling, Coon Hound of theirs!

I had a Splash roo (now in the freezer, skinless

) that would go after the pink water bucket and only the water bucket. The second I picked up the bucket he would charge it, if I put it down and he would go on his merry little way, this was an everyday occurance. Sometimes they can be complete weirdo's.

Lol that's funny. I have a little wheaten roo with a messed up foot. Ironically he is really into feet and shoes. He always notices when I have new or different shoes on in his run. He hates certain shoes like these white flip flops I wear sometimes. They sort of glow especially in the twilight hours and he really goes after those shoes. He doesn't bite me ever, just the shoes lol.
I just ordered some rainboots that I can use in the yard. I got a good deal on some pretty ones with bright red and black snakeskin print on them. I bet he goes psycho over them LOL! (I guess its nice to have your shoes noticed, even if its from a crazy chicken LOLOLOL).

I love peacocks. We had some when I was young. They are so cool, sometimes ours let out this wierd eerie sound like a woman crying or screaming or something. I really want to get some again.

We had peacocks for a while. They were beautiful. We were way out in the country, so I don't believe the noise was a problem, and it really didn't bother us, either. They roosted in the trees above our poultry pens. We had a group that stayed together most of the time.

One thing they used to do that was kind of irritating is they would come up on the step of the house after we fed our cats (rodent patrol.) They would eat all the reddish colored cat food, and then do their job right there. The cat food would make the poop turn reddish, and it looked HORRIBLE!

One time when I was coming home from work I found all of them in a group about 1/2 mile from home. They were across the overpass in the middle of the road. As I approached them in the van, they turned and started trotting toward home. I followed them all the way into the driveway with the van, getting close and honking when they started to doddle. They never crossed the overpass again after that.

We would probably still have some except when we moved we didn't have facilities here for them (we are still in the process of building our poultry housing.
