Congrats to everyone on their new hatches. I've vowed I'm not going to set any eggs until March 1. Come on March!

Pink- I had a sportsman incubator for a while. I ended up selling it to my sister when we moved. We had GREAT hatches with that thing. My sister has used it even more, and she sells chicks like crazy in the spring! You will love it.

I'm in the process of trying to decide how I want to build my "little" houses for my breeder pens. I have my pen arrangement decided but not finished. I think I am going to build the breeder houses to accommodate about 6 large chickens each.

Thanks Ivy! I have a thing for the mahogany color. He is a real sweetie pie too, I put my chicks in with him when they are old enough to go outside and he takes care of them. #2 pip is working on zipping. I am excited to see this one. It will be my first attempt at an Olive-Egger.

Pink, you will love the sportsman. I picked up a hatcher on a sale last fall. The guy had an incubator and a hatcher. I had the bid at 125 each. He declined to sell the incubator, but did part with the hatcher. Its and older one, a 1250, but woks like a champ. I use some small incubators to incubat, them loack them down in the hatcher. Mine has the water tray and I hooked up a pail to keep the water tray full. This thing holds temp like nothing else, and maintains the huidity wher you want it. You will need to play a bit with the vents to get it set, but truly a set and foget deal, one you have it tuned. I have only not hatched 3 out of about 150 that I locked down, and my newes years hatch is in ther now. I have some pipped and 1 welli out right now. ust was down there and heard more than one peeping, so more are coming. I need to put a window in mine so can see with out openeing the door. But I love it.

Well I guess I will get the "burnt biscuit award" .... sposed to have pips yesterday.... NADA... I have not only "egg envy" but new fluffy butt envy as well... DRAT!!!
