Hi Marans People *waves* . Today is gonna be another horrible rainy day here. My pens still haven't dried out completely from the last time ugggg. I think I need to figure out something to keep them drier. It is partly sand here but also alot of composted stuff from oak trees and other leaves over the years mixed in.

Good morning everyone..Pink you just get up too early for me..no fog this morning we have glitter on everything

No rain in the forecast for a week praise the LORD.....it's like a sponge outside and the mud you think chicken mud is bad try horse mud I've got to go get more straw so they can have an island of semi firma......My New Years babies are so cute only one Cuckoo and she's going to have those feathered legs. I have some getting feathered out good hatched 10/2 and I'm trying to get a deal on some more panels so I can separate some breeders out I have 3 hens for my baby Splash Copper but he's not such a baby anymore. It is turning green just can't tell in the morning....I still want rain just not 5 inches all at once...A good BCM Rooster? That is like buying a winning lottery ticket

Yep lucky girl..though Sew and Grow has a beautiful roo and I though Harris 5 has a nice one....none of them live very close well maybe Karen I don't think I can find her house again though without calling her first

Ya If he were actually hatched by me... I would call him Harley... but he is backeast somewhere... I don't know what they are planning to name him... I will have to ask.

Yep it just started raining good over here. I knew when I opened the door and my group of 5 juvy delinquent freerangers came running up on the porch. Now the boys will sit and crow outside the door because they are bored grrrr. I'm glad I got the roll roofing over the key west chook house and nest box yesterday. She has two eggs now

I'm hoping she will go broody real soon! I hear they are real broody machines lol.

How big is everyone's Marans breeder houses/love shacks? I'm thinking I will probably have about 4 birds in each so I wanna keep them small and just use them for breeding with a little run attatched to each or one big pen sectioned off for runs. I will probably be making about 5 love shacks.
