I haven't been riding in YEARS - - BC ( Before Children). . . . . I LOVE horse back riding.

It is amazing to me how many horse people have taken to chicken breeding - - - kinda like a duck to water

Lotsapaints, you have gophers?...here we have moles. I have mastered the art of permanant mole eradication using Vermin Retention Units. I call them that because it is illegal to use any kind of body-gripping trap in Washington. Yes, that includes mouse and rat traps! ( How ridiculous is that?)

if you ever get out this way I promise to take you on a fun ride as long as Mother Nature is nice who would want to go riding in nasty weather unless you need to get a job done......breeding chickens is way faster than breeding performance horses way cheaper too....... it sure doesn't cost me 1200a month to have my chicken in training......

My husband loves to blow them up he's a welder so he can have fun but they come back and eat everything....they killed a 8" pine tree ate right thru the tap root...ate all the strawberries in the front of the house and tried to eat my tomatoes did just get my Banks Rose darn vermin anyways.....I hate gophers wish the chickens could hunt them.......

Do gophers and moles come out of the ground at night or something? We had a bunch. We got a few hungry barn cats that roam the yard, and since then we haven't had a mole problem. Not sure if the cats ate them or what. I'm not particularly fond of cats, but these guys do their job. We got them to keep mice out of the barn, but I think they eliminated the moles, too.

Good for you, that is a big step. It does feel good knowing what we are putting into our bodies and that of our children, not to mention that the taste is WAAAAAAAAYYYYYY better than anything we can buy from the grocery store. Next thing you'll be saying is "it's just another dinner to cook."

Living just a couple of valleys over from Pinkchick I have a feeling I will be getting more chicks pretty soon. Usually when someone is nice to me I give them a dozen eggs as reciprocation...somehow I don't think it would carry the same meaning with Pink, tho...
