Here is a pic of Wheaten Marans chicks. There are 3 males and one female in this photo. The female has more of a solid redbrown feathering and the males have dark brown on thier wing feathers. If yours was male you'd be able to tell from thier darker wing feathering. The males also seem to be slow on thier backs when feathering out. So yep yours are girls. Now you need a wheaten rooster lol.

A picture says it all! Thanks so much and I'm glad to not have to split up this pair. Unfortunately I can't have any roos in my town and just found out on another forum that my little lone Silkie is most likely a boy (but that's the chance we take with babies, huh?).

Oh darn I was gonna try and pawn one off on ya (wheaten roo) LOL!

Thanks Mel ! One of the roos turned out super huge and is a big ol sweet lap rooster. One of the others I might try and show, and the other, Sweetie Pie, is just a little terd who hates shoes and attacks any new or different shoes that enter his run. I really hate when I have to put on different shoes like when the weather changes or whatever because I have to deal with Sweetie Pie. Sweetie Pie needs to be turned into Sweetie Stew.
MY only female wheaten, Princess (in the pic) got eaten by a predator a few mos ago so now I'm just left with the 3 males! That's what I get for procastinating on the breeding pens.

I totally left my camera at work yesterday so no pictures

I have not given up but it looks like I will end up with 6 Birchens and 4 GCM's from my own(which is good my roo was in a hard molt and I didn't think I would get any) I have my Whites in lockdown and they are due on Saturday! I have the camera in my purse so Pics tomorrow!!!
