Kim ~ Can't wait to see the Splash boy. Lavender??

"Looks" lavender. Reminds me of Dale #88 when he was a chick, but this Splash boy wasn't the same color as Dale was at hatch. This guy was normal Splash color, Dale was a very light silvery blueish tinge, not white like the others.

How old are they?

The feathers that I refer to are the primaries in the wing, both primary flights and secondary flights. My females tend to have primary flights that are the same length as the secondaries when the wing is extended it is easier to see. My males usually have shorter secondaries and longer primaries. After about 3-5 days old it becomes harder to see the difference in the wing.

As of yesterday I could see that... today I will tag them.... they hatched monday and tuesday. Lockdown for batch two today

I love real fruitcake! My ex MIL used to make the best I've ever had! Chock full of different nuts, fruits, and probably a whole bottle of rum...

My little Dopey had a white body, but her head was blueish/silvery colored. She now has the medium blue head which I really like.

hmmm...not sure. All I know is that we are supposed to get more consistently warm temps here for a few days. that's usually enough to stir them up here

Same here, in the 50s and upper 40s for all next week!

So far, we have been blessed with a mild winter. Wish I hadn't said that, we still have Jan. & Feb. to go!

Well doesn't that stink! Of all times too; but at least it's not cold. Got a back-up heat source??

yes we have a gas fireplace and since we deal with rentals we have some portable heaters- which are electric and safe, my kids are still running around in T-shirts and no socks so it's not that cold. We are also doing some cooking for Christmas so that helps keep it warmer!
