, I know what you mean about everything taking longer to load and read, maybe the bugs are still being worked out. Haven't tried to post pictures yet, work has been super busy that there isn't any extra time

Wow, quite different from down here! It's almost 55* already, very windy, and thunderstorms coming in this afternoon, although they look to be coming now!

Don't know whats up with the multi quote but everytime I hit quote it does the multi thing.....anywhoooo, snow and very coooooold here today and tomorrow. It's beautiful, expecting the worst of it tomorrow night and possibly into Wedneday...makes for traveling the I-5 freeway a nightmare.....on the other hand, my little Copper colored suppose to be Sliver Birchens are out enjoying some cold hard fun in their run and seem to be oblivious to the burry cold and snow. They have proved to be some very hardy little chickadees, they came off heat and lights around 4 weeks of age which I never do with my birds, but these little guys and gals were fully feathered so I put them in the bigger grow out pen. Heck they didn't even take any guff from the older 2 mos. olds that were already in there...too bad they are turning copper instead of silver.

Gosh I wonder why the site is so slow for some people? If anything it seems faster to me. I have Internet through my cell phone tower so faster than dial up but far from the fastest mode out there.

Are we not pronouncing the s in marans?? Oh my god I must sound like such an obnoxious American. "marANZZz". How embarassing. I am surprised the French even allow us to have these birds.

If ya can't say the word you can't have the bird.

Good Morning All
Pink my silly Birchens have gold coming in on 2 of the 3 pullets necks, my roo look ok but darn it!

Look multi quote again! LOL!

So Raven...your look gold? I would have been a bit happier with gold vs. copper and this definitely is copper and not gold on mine. My first clue should have been a copper colored spot on one of their little heads when they hatched....but I didn't think anything of it at the time.

I know that Nifty and company are very busy and I know they are sorting out the bugs....I just need to learn more patience I think. I have posted a few photos and it is not that bad at all, I do prefer uploading them vs getting them from my albums on my profile. I do like the make your photos public function though.

Pink,

Have you ever used photobucket? I much preferred uploading my photos to photobucket and then transferring the code into BYC posts.
I like photobucket because it was QUICKER on the upload AND allowed me to set up folders / directories AND there was no limit on the photos.
Photobucket is FREE to set up an account with. You can upload several photos at one time too.

You could move to Hawaii! My husband and I bought a beautiful 5 acre piece of property 1 year ago for 125,000. We don't live on it yet. Probably gonna retire there. Lol! We live on our 3 acre piece now. Each acre where we are now goes for about 20,000.
Not enough space for cows or crops but great for kids and chickens!!

A very good friend of ours who is a pilot for Hawaiian Air told us what he pays for his apartment in Honolulu and HOA fees and then mentioned his power bill....I think I had heart failure right then and there........... OUTRAGEOUS!
