I use a toothbrush and warm water in a big cup or bowl. I submerge the chick up to its head let it soak and then start brushing with the toothbrush. It may take awhile. I have also discovered it will get eaten off by the other chicks too. But I like to make sure they can FLUFF some to keep warm. I usually put them back in the hatcher till they dry off.Any ideas how to get this cement stuff off? I'm off to take care of my mother and it's looking like the next Marans is having the same trouble.... Arrrgh!
