Yeah, I found the black roo. He is scrawny and stunted because of how they were kept, VERY overcrowded, stressful pen that was mostly roos. The other splash that I did not choose when I was buying a few months ago was also in the "eatin'' bunch, and when I chose mine, that day you could not tell them apart hardly. Well today when I saw him, the other splash had not grown at all and was fully a third smaller than the one I have now, which all I did different was.... drum roll please.... FEED THEM!!!! I am hoping the black one will at least produce bigger, even if he is not really big himself. My FIRST hope is that he is not done growing and still has time to catch up some. The guy I got him from didn't want to turn loose of him because they like eating black chickens better, (it's a cultural thing) and I had to promise him eggs or chicks back to start his own breeding program, which totally made him change his tune and let me have him.
