My RIR pullets layed there share of double yokers when they first started laying too. Twice the protien in one egg

. To bad it doesn't last. If you eat eggs that is. I saw a thread where someone hatched a double yoker. Thats pretty cool!

I got a shot of a Jeane hen just finishing laying. Wish you could have heard her! She was very proud of her egg!

We have 13 of the 5 month old BC pullets that should begin laying right away. We hatched them from dark eggs and I can't wait to see their egg color.

How many in all do you have laying now? Mine just started and I don't think all of them are even laying yet. You are soooooo blessed to have that many pullets/hens that'll be laying, and your roo is very very nice looking as well. Is he from the same bunch or older?

I just have my two hatchery cuckoo hens laying now can't wait for my wellies and jeane girls to start

I have 7 BC hens that are a year old now. I'm getting 3 or 4 eggs daily. I don't think I've ever had all 7 lay on the same day!

The Roo is a year old. None of the pullets have laid yet, but their parents started between 5 and 6 months. I kept and hatched all the pullet eggs for the first couple of months and got these:
