Goodness, Onthespot...what a problem. Sounds like the goose eggs might have been incubated differing amounts of time. If one is very dark with huge air sac sounds like it is/was about there.

With goose eggs at about four days, with a good egg lume, one can just see like a sort of circle mark in the yolk with a darker rim & perhaps a little dot.

Anyone want to guess the sex of my cuckoo marans? I want pullets. At least two. Just so you know what to guess. LOL.

My guess is that the second from the left *might* be a pullet, and the fourth is a pullet.

In my very humble opinion this is the hardest age to tell... chick down is usualy pretty easy to pick out... and a little older get you some pre-adult feathers that are a good hint as well as some comb development in the cockerels... but I have a terrible time at this age if I haven't already sorted them out... Hope somebody else is better at it.
