Thanks - he is my only BC anything - need to get him some girls eventually. He is still pretty young though and his voice is just starting to crack. I watch and see if those white feathers molt out.

One of my roosters had ZERO white feathers as a juvenile and now he has a few white tipped feathers on his feet and one BLAZING white flight feather on the tip of his left wing... go figure.

do bc marans have feathers on thier feet?

some do, some don't. The club has adopted a standard that calls for feathering on the feet. It is not supposed to be on the middle or inner toe, just along the outside of the shank and along the outer toe. Some of mine have little feathers on their middle toe, tiny little under developed stubs about a half inch long.

I got some nice Blue copper Marans eggs coming this week..The hens were all Bev Davis stock and the rooster was Wade Gene stock. Should make for some nice birds..

are they from bishopschickens? I got a nice splash hatched from his eggs. I was surprised how dark the eggs were to get a splash out of them.
