One thing you have to remember about buying into the lines thing. Once someone owns a given line for more then a couple of years, IS IT REALLY BEV"S LINE? Did this breeder call and ask Bev to come over and do his/her culling? Does Bev set up their breeding pens? That is why I am very leary of what someone says what lines they got. About 6 months ago a person was claiming to have a high end breeders line, she was selling her eggs on EBAY and claiming that the eggs came from this top quality line. Unfortunately the math did not add up. I called the top quality breeder and asked about this lady on EBAY. And the story made it impossible for a trio of hatched eggs to produce a dozen eggs a week, by 7 months old. So when I buy, I ask about lines, and then do a follow up with the breeder of those lines. I've done this with many birds and eggs I buy. Some cases the breeder of the top quality lines will tell me to not buy from that person, cause they screwed up her line. So buyer beware. Do you homework and do not fear calling the Bev's for a second opinion of that given breeder's quality.
