Hmmm... this gal is older... (2 years) She has been through a molt already.. didn't really pay attention to the coloration prior to molting.. Interesting take!!! Hadn't thought of that. You have a good brain!!!

yes, that fuzzy butt is my splash marans hen. I can tell you that there are no black spots in her feathers, just grey. whatever that means. lol. I'll have to ask about her line, I forget. lol. I do know that my buddy has some bev davis birds...

Only have the BCM roo at this point. sorry! lol.

Yeah.. mine only has the light grey also and not a lot of them...a few on the chest and tail and on one wing... Thanks Tdgill... I appreciat the input. They do look lavender when they are little... That is just another expression of the andelusian gene... I guess we have a rare presentation... But Splash just the same. I was told mine was Bev Davis lines and she is the heaviest of all my birds besides my Bev Davis Roo so I expect that she is what I was told...The breeder breeds both lines but only Bev Davis in blue. I think part of what throws everyone is the good eye color... It isn't that apparent in the pics but she has the BEST eyes

Washingtonians are holding a get together sometime in Feb. but I cannot make it to that one. A swap in the Vancouver area would be great!

I 'd be happy to hold it at my place but all birds that came would have to be kept on the front of the property and away from my birds....no offense anyone, no offense at all, I know you all understand why. I have plenty of space and would be happy to host, but definitely would need to be when the weather is a bit more cooperative.

I have a great space in my front yard that would accomodate nicely and its FREE! I am one hour north of Portland and the drive to my house if I must say so myself is beautiful along the river into the woods!

Oregon is good for me somewhere around the Portland area. Let's start up a thread in Swaps and make plans there.
Must get ready to go to work now. Chat later everyone, hope you all have a great day!

We might be able to get some Seattlelites down here Pinkchick! There are quite a few breeders up that way.. It is only about 2 hours from you.... (on a good day....in the dark... ha ha)

how far back are your pics/posts? I have yet to see your splash. lol. been running around and lost track. Oh and locked myself in the coop too. lol. well the knot on my latch string came undone. (thanks dbf...lol) luckily I was able to use a length of wire that I use to wrap up the light cords and after MANY attempts jimmy the latch up. I was gonna be in there forever. No one would check on me since I am outside messin about for hours anyway.

Pg. 478...bottom of page... Any leg feathering on yours? And what about the offspring?
