thanks for the info. those are very pretty birds and so different. Mine is lighter than yours but has similar head feathering...looks bluish, and her white is not as pure white as the second splash pic. She likes eddie vedder's into the wild soundtrack. lol. sitting here with me now.

I think that is what sparked the great blue debate.... I have lots of splash cochins with the same markings so I never gave it much thought. I like her.. and she is a lap pet also... She would probably like what you are listening to. Very docile and friendly. I like her conformation most of all. Too bad no feathering...I personally can live without it.. But my daughter plans to show her this summer. It will be interesting to see how she does.

I need to get a better picture of her. But this is more true in color. Less sunlight ;-) she's def. not as white as that first shot.

Where did you get her... She sure looks like mine... Mine may have a little darker feathering on the head but yeah... that is the color... Very lavendery... The only thing that is a tell on mine is a few light grey stripes... pretty hard to see in the pix.

I can't tell the eye color but is yours a really Nice orange? Mine is the color of a cinderella pumpkin. I like the head shape of our birds...and the eye on them...not too dark Have you started to collect from her for hatching??? Pinkchick brought up an interesting thought about molting.. She has one that lost it's neck feathers and they are coming in dark after the first molt... if I undstood what she said correctly.

yeah, mine seemed to darken up a bit after first molt too.

I have yet to see my roo mount her. although they were sweet on each other for a while, he fell for my buff orp hen, and then my mixed hen. No serious breeding here though my friend tells me I am eating pricey eggs! lol. I am limited by space and ignorance lol. Still learning.

All I know is .... I looked on Bev's website, and the Marans website, and both pictures of, "Splash," looks like mine (white with grey spatters, in my layman's terms), and I thought yours looked different to me. That's why i ask. .... to learn!
