I hatched Wheaton Marans test hatch eggs from berkeleysprings. 6 of 7 hatched. WOW, That is a wonderful hatch on shipped eggs! Here is their picture this morning. 2 are a bit darker, with a smudge on them. Are they sexable that way?

great news on the hatch , i looked back at some pictures of the parrent stock grownig up i couldnt finde picks but i think i remember seeing that smudge . i have some pics of young ones and they are hard to sex , one of the 7 or 8 roos i culled looked like a hen the first few weeks all 4 birds are roosters a blue copper, and 3 wheaten

what i have is a davis roo thats large and runs the coop
and i have a ron presley (cottage hill ) roo who is second in comand
and i have 2 ron presley (cottage hill ) hens
also i have a ebay hen(lays my darkest) thats said to be a bev davis hen second generation . i just dont know who is doing what if u know what i mean because there all 5 together
