Thank You pinkchick. Me too ;p I think he must be just a super light golden cuckoo. I hope someone has a picture of what the real light ones look like as adults. I'm hoping it will be one of those real light creole-type looking roos, that would be pretty.

I have been watching one of my Black Copper Marans grow .... weirdest thing ... for the longest time I thought it was a masculine looking hen, because it is all black. Now, at 18 weeks it is obviously a roo .... but is 100% black! Have any of you had that happen?

Ok heres a question,
I have the two Blue Copper hens no feathering on the legs
Have the Blue Copper roo with feathers
Have Black Copper hens with feathers.
The question, should I just sell the two blue hens and but the rooster in with BC hens so I know I'll get feathers on the legs?
What would you do??

These are my Cuckoo Marans eggs:

And I have a pair of Copper Marans...about 12 weeks old. The roo started crowing at 7 weeks. He's thinks he's the stuff.
