That one is the one she said is throwing too much dark brown on his head. They are all supposed to be BCmarans but that one is a lot darker than the others. Is it not pure then? I don't really care except that I'm going to keep 1 roo and it would be nice to know which ones don't fit the standard.

No, actually the one middle (in that picture) looks very light to me. I can't really tell, you will have to take some more pictures as they grow.

My birds are also from Wade Jeane/Ron Presley lines and those birds lay very nice eggs.

Thanks for the info, I appreciate it very much. Yes I will post more pics when they get bigger so I can get your advice on which roo to keep. Thanks again!

I am collecting eggs for the remainder of the week from my Copper Black gals (and a few select eggs from my Splash gal) that have been crossed with my Splash and Copper Blue boys.........hoping for as many Copper Blues and Splashes as I can get out of this hatch as they will hopefully be the building blocks to a new and another flock for next year.

Drom~
Here's hoping that your bator shows up unexpectedly today.......I know its a long shot.... but

Pink also set a batch in the bator last week, set for hatch on 3/18. Here are those eggs. There are some splash eggs in there as well they are on the left of the BCM eggs. Remember that my gal is laying those chalky coated purplish eggs, I have posted photos of them previously, but these take the cake...under that coating they are nice colored egg, I think you can see the color through some of the scratches on them.

Here is the batch that I am currently collecting for hatching with you Drom! I hope to collect through Friday so that I can narrow down which eggs are actually going to make it to the bator.

Ooooo, beautiful!!
I'll be sorting the BCMs too.
I probably have over 30 and I will need to pair down to 20. Some of mine are now too old as well, so those can't go in either.
