Marans Thread for Posting Pics of Your Eggs, Chicks and Chickens

In my Storeys Illustrated guide to poultry breeds it states that Marans eyes should be dark red. The APA is going for Pumpkin color I believe in the BCMarans. They did not mention Blues though.

I can't find them in the APA

I wanted to add on that in my Poultry for Anyone book it states that all Marans should have orange-red eyes.

You know, those standards have been up there for a loooooong time now.....and you're the first person to ask!

In fact, I never even noticed that myself -- and I'm the person who got the standards onto the web site. I'll check it out!
