I officially own Marans!

My FBCMs and 1 wheaten

and the CMs that won't stand still

Now 2 and 3 days old. Only one of Bargians hatched... it's the little wheaten. But the others are from Little Grey Bantam.

She's a black copper. He got her from the same guy I got mine from. His line doesn't have a lot of red on the hens, but they lay a really nice dark egg.

I took some pix today... anyone want to see em???? They are not perfect.. they are a work in progress... I am just showing them off. Some of them have to must enamelain (if that is the correct term).. Whatever it is that covers the copper. I use an overly copper roo on this pen because of it's ovbious lacking.. I have managed to stricke a nice balance with him. My next years hens are progressing nicely.

I Want to add one more because I love this eye color!!

Please excuse any missing feather on the FBCM's I trimmed some of them due to weather and frostbite.

Same goes for my roos comb.. (frostbite damage despite the lights I had up)

These are all work in progress but I thought I would share some pix as I was asked by someone to do so.
