I was at a fair the other week and bought my first cuckoo marans. Didnt know that was what he was...was looking for a BR Roo! The woman didnt know either so now he is mine. I was looking over all the pics on here and it looks like some of the marans have feathered feet while others don't. I guess I have to do more research? T

My BCM's started laying several weeks ago and the eggs were nice and dark. Now I'm getting ones that are a lot lighter. Does the heat affect the darker shade of the eggs?

Anyone close to me that has Wade line interested in a free, yep that is right, free CREE rooster from a 8 dark eggy? I don't work the wheatons.... He is free for the taking and I posted pix way back of the eggs that he was hatched from... a number 8 super darkie.... PM or email me if you are interested... Will work best with Wade line. I spoke with my friend last night after I PM'd you.....the young man is very happy with his girls and was even more happy that he got a surprise late yesterday afternoon. One of the gals gave him an egg. He is not looking for a rooster at this time, but I will keep my ears bent for someone looking.
Wish we could have re-homed him up here with my friend, darn it...I bet he is a nice bird.
