I have 2 pullets left as well, even though 8 eggs hatched from the 12 she sent me. I am afraid the local feral dogs and hawks prefered them to the New Jersey Giants

Gina seems to have very pretty birds-too bad about the predators. That's so awful-I would be so devastated if I lost any of my pullets to predators.

Now I can see the gold. I'll bet they are going to be so pretty when they mature. I really like the golden cuckoos!

So, Chef your cuckoo looks like a pullet to me because she is dark. My Donna babies were really easy to sex by the combs. The boys started growing combs very early and the girls didn't have them at all.

Here is a few picture of our black copper eggs in the incubator with eggs from Bev Davis. I was on her list for over a year and a half.
I have a couple hens from the WJ lines in the pen with a few birds from Bev's line.

My sister is helping me with my birds now that I'm down in south florida through the week. She just joined byc and goes by LilEmilysChknPen.

She will be listing eggs for sale soon.

I winced when I read this.

If any n00bs come across this quote, I'd urge you to do further reading on the difference between inbreeding and line breeding, as well as the whens, whys, and cautionary tales.

Best of luck!
