That's just reminded me.....Do any of you find the colour of your bird's shell changes colour over time? Many of my darkest layers lay very dark red eggs. I have found if I leave the shells the colour changes to a dark brown. Not a different shade of the original colour but rather a different colour; just as dark but a different colour. I have found this change takes place relatively quickly, after perhaps, a week or two. Anyone else found this or have I got weird hens?
