The birds that came from Kelvin, came originally from his brother Wade.
Right. Jesse did not buy them from Wade, he bought them from Kelvin.
The birds that came from the other two men also came originally from Wade. I've spoken to all three men and everyone verifies the same story - every bird came from Wade.
Great. The last time I saw you post about these birds, you didn't even know the name of the guy Jesse got them from. It's great that you've been able to get more info now. And once again, Jesse did not buy the birds from Wade.
Why is this important? I'll tell ya -- it's important because every time a flock of birds changes hands, it's less possible to be absolutely sure about their bloodlines. It's very easy for a rooster to jump a fence, or for an extra hen to be bought, and so on. Unless you yourself purchase a bird or an egg straight from a breeder, it's impossible to know with absolutely surety exactly what DNA is in there.
For instance -- I myself have a group of Marans whose ancestors were *supposed* to have been imported from France about 5 years ago, by Lynne Flournoy. *Supposedly* they have had no outside stock added to them, and *supposedly* they have been through only one owner between Lynne and me. But I do not and will not be selling them as "pure French blood" or anything like that, because I can not prove their origins with any assurance. And I did not buy them because of their supposed origins, but because of their appearance and their dark eggs. It's important to be sure about these things before making claims about them!
So please stop quoting "gossip" about Jesse or my flock and stop correcting everything I post about Marans.
I'm only "quoting" your own words, Ruth. If you don't want to see corrections, then try to keep your own facts straight.
