Sheesh, it is hard isn't it. So many chickens so little room. We need some chicken Condos!

A lot of ppl like the blues because of the diversity... I like the Blue in the Cochins.... I get a lot of splashes that color out similar to my marans hen... They don't always look white... Often times they look off white with light marks on them.... with a nice hue to them...like a lavender... I do have other splashes....just like the ones you have Kathinmo but they are a different breeders bird. They look completely different... They are a lot lighter weight in body also... This girl.... She weighs in HEAVY like a turkey. I am going to get you a couple more pics today...My whole reason for posting was to show diversity in the splash marans... I have two BC's that don't look anything like each other though they both follow the standard. One is a heavier bird...Different breeders.

tdgill... that looks just like my bird... only you have more sun there!!!! Okay now lets see more of your flock... Nice birds!!!! I like the face on your splash.. I like the eyes... I always liked the nice pumpkin eyes on my splash... Pinkchick you want some blues from this girl??? I don't know if she is throwing copper on the neck but she is really dark around the neck... What do you make of it. Does that predispose her to have to much black???? Therefore covering any copper??? I haven't grown any of the babies out... they don't last!!! ha ha
