I am pretty sure this is darkest egg I have ever gotten-by a fairly wide margin. I don't think I got anything this dark last year. It is matte and stippled. But it is also pretty wide like the glossy reds. I need to figure out a way to squeeze this in the incubator.

You can't see the stippling in the uploaded version of this picture. The stippling is dark brown.
Oh, and weird thing is, everyone laid an egg yesterday and they were pretty light, I put them in the fridge to eat.

I don't mind adding new eggs up to 24 hours later. In my experience, the hatch comes out essentially the same anyway.
