I just would NOT want to waste the money or space on Sussex. Sorry but I'm prejudice against them.

Sure Sussex can get huge and I'm a fan of huge birds, but not of common birds or ones that have a cool color but no cool feature. . . Single comb, clean legs, brown eggs, . . . Get my drift?

I have 10 BCM babies in the brooder, from eggs I hatched from bigredfeather. The eggs were super dark, and the chicks are as well. I've had a few BCM in the past, and they were 'dark' chicks, but these babies are jet black, with just a little white on their wings and bottoms. I'm uploading pics of the eggs and chicks right now, though the chicks are a week or two old now. The pics are from when they first hatched.

Is there any way to sex them? Some of them seem to have white wing feathers coming in, and some have a partridge looking feather pattern? Pics in a sec
