I just checked on her and she has hatched two so far, but when I looked in on her she was off the nest! There's still 6 eggs there. She's been glued to those eggs for the last couple weeks. I hope she's not quitting on them. Oh, well. I didn't really think she would hatch any of them. She surprised me. None of my hens had hatched any eggs before.
The second one is really cute. He's a little Shamu-black and white all over.

Good find Ahappychick, looks like you got your stolen photo removed.

The flock picture is shown on eggbid from a Texas breeder

Egg pics are from Little Peddler and Black Copper King/Jesse who sold the early Wade Jeane Marans chicks.

Any time I've put pictures up on the internet they have been watermarked, not foolproof but at least the thief will have to do some work to use them.

Ok, I figured out why my broody left the nest. I checked the eggs and there was one that had pipped and opened up a big hole in the shell, but the chick inside was dead. As soon as I removed it from the nest Dave immediately got back on her eggs. I don't know if any more of them will hatch. I didn't pay attention at all to when she laid actually them. But I suppose I should give them a few more days if she wants to stay on them

Good find Happychick and chickenherder. It's amazing to me that someone would steal pictures and blatently mislead and false advertise just to make a couple of extra bucks!

Hey all... Pinkchick has a page!!!!! Yay!!! Good job Pinkchick It will be fun to watch all the new pages and birds and such... You can stretch the pix by grabbin them at the corner and edges... I love the babies with the pink background!!!

I had a lady one year steal pictures off of my Horse Rescue network website and list them as her rescues... I have actually had that happen a few times.. PPl can be really rotten about pictures and such. The person was trying to get pity gifts for the pretend animals. That really gets my blood boiling.. There are ppl that swip pix off of the French website to sell marans.. It is sooo obvious...what a pack of morons!!! ha ha..

OMG, OMG ..... I forgot my camera today! I went to a breeder's place, and he had the most beautiful BCM I have ever seen! I offered him (alot of money) and he wouldn't sell! But, the good news is .... he has chicks hatching next week, and I get them!!!! WHOPPPIIIIEEEEE! ! !

Picture thieves? I guess we should all use watermarks. I am so computer illiterate, I am lucky to know how to log on a computer!

How would I get a watermark?

(Not that I have any pictures worth stealing!)

Check out Picasa it's free from Google.
You can do basic edits, resize, crop, sort and watermark your pictures plus a whole lot more.
