Well, the one died in the zip process. I'm not usually into "helping" things that can't make it on their own, and this one had a very short zip going that hadn't even broken the membrane, so I left it thinking it probably wasn't ready. The first one born had taken a 9 hour nap between the time it started to zip till it started zipping again, so I had hoped this was the same deal. The one I did help had already gotten about 3/4 of the way done, but the membrane had dried so badly, it couldn't budge it. She is fine this morning, as are her three siblings! Bought 10 eggs, got 12, and four survived, not bad for my first time, with shipped eggs, in a Little Giant! I'll take it! I look at it as a 40% hatch! Here are the babies this morning. #1 is in the front, #2 the dark one is right behind her, #3 is to the right, and #4 on the left. The #3 chick is the one I helped and looks no worse for the wear, so I'm glad I did it.
