marbles????????

I put marble in my chicks water because i read that they could drown themselves in it....now one of my chicks is like 1 week old. Does it still need the marbles?

You should be fine now without marbles. I use them for small gamebirds and bantams. I never use marbles for standard chicks unless someone is wobbly on their feet.

I don't remember ever loosing a chick to drowning. And I never saw anyone use marbles before.

When I saw photos of waterers with marbles I thought they had been added as an attention getter to help attract the chicks to the water.

I only use marble with my ducks. I've never had problems with chicks.

Yes, it's now safe to remove the marbles. I didn't know that before! Thanks for the tip!
