Well, we lost power here, and all my beautiful shipped eggs probably won’t make it. The incubator has gone down to 25 C… I kinda want to cry![]()
They might be ok! Hens get off the nest for periods of time when incubating their own.
Also the air temp will drop much faster than the inside of the egg. I suggest covering the incubator to help hold the remaining heat.
How long has the power been out? What day are your eggs on?

I bought two more incubators and setup yesterday with a total of 44 eggs total. I believe a March 11 hatch. BCM's, cream legbars, opal legbars, blue cochin bantams, and olive eggers. Some are from my own flock, most are from a local, small farm near me. I'm using the NR360's and dry hatching.
