March 2023 hatch-a-long

NR360? I have been known to stack too, but I just ordered a custom turner that holds 30 bantam eggs.
yes the NR360. LOL I have standard size eggs and most fill up the holders as they are. I have thought about getting the rise piece to make it taller so it is easier to stack them though. LOL but probably best I can't add more. but then again by not being able to add more I just do more hatches since I then have other eggs I want to try. LOL

I have a riser! I use it on my "hatcher" (an older nr360 that can't be reset to turn any more) and it gives my babies so much more head room! It's also been great for when I get shipped eggs and need to incubate upright for a few days (although there's a 3d printed piece for that too).

I just ordered 10 silkie eggs. Should arrive by March 1st or 2nd. I will also incubate 14 eggs from my silkies and a couple silkie mixes, because I have a 24 egg incubator. I'm very interested in seeing what genetics my new silkie rooster is hiding. I really hope to hatch a paint pullet this year (most likely with leakage but still).

I'm officially in the March Hatch-Along as of 7:00 this morning! :jumpy:jumpy:jumpy I set 27 eggs again in my IncuView 'bator, and 12 more in the trusty little Kebonnixs incubator, for a March 4th hatch date. Mixed breeds all, I raise for meat and eggs, not for looks. But a few cuties from each batch is fun to see :)

I'm calling this clutch the "Barbeque" bunch.

I already have eggs hatching as I type this…I need to be stopped! I ordered Araucana eggs, and then I asked the breeder to send me a “surprise” mix of whatever else she had available. The guessing game should be fun! They’re all supposed to hatch around March 7/8 in time for my son’s birthday.

…I’m very tempted to fill those 4 empty spots with eggs from my own mixed flock
