HI there, I went to the last one and picked up a nice Cochin roo. Love him!

For March 21, I will be looking for Speckled Sussex pullets. Will anyone have them? I'd buy up to five, I think.

I have great news , which I knew was coming lol .
As many of you knew I was having issues with the town , a local Rescue league and a few other people,
Well today the Rescue League AND! The Nh State Vet visited and inspected the living conditions of my herd of rabbits and my flock of birds.

Happy to report I got a 100 % bill of health from both parties involved.
The State Vet was supposed to bring testing material with him to NPIP my flock but decided to send someone else after the initial inspection was over with , he is sending me the paper work, to get the testing done.
oh and Wendy , KUDOS to you , He love the Orpingtons

My friend who came for moral support was trying to abscond with 3 not 1 or 2 of my OEGs'!!!! she fell in love with their love me attitude lol.
LOL she was trying to figure out how to pocket them with out me noticing. nut case. Like I wouldnt notice my first hatched was missing, yeah right.
All in all it was a good day , I even asked the Vet aout this poor
Checkered Giant doe who had been bred to death and isnt doing well in the condition dept, she looks like hell to be honest. she is supposed to weigh 14 lbs but the poor girl has gone from weighing 6 lbs after weaning her kits early to almost 8 lbs but it has taken 2 weeks to gain those few pounds.
Even though I am a breeder, there are other breeders out there I just cant stand and her original owner is one of them.
I have never ever in all the years I have been breeding for show ever seen this happen I was appalled to see it and asked for advice from the vet, he is very afraid she may have to eventually be put down , if her qualiy of life doesnt improve in 2 weeks I may have no choice. its so sad, I hate people who abuse and over breed an animal and thats what has happened to this poor doe.
I pray for this doe to inprove, she has the potentail to be a stnning doe. its so heart breaking to see her like this.
I will never ever breed her again , she deserves the best life possible with not worrys about having babys ever again. unfortunately she is too old to spay, I had an older doe spayed once and lost her I wont make her go through that,
pray that I can get weight and condition on her. I just love her to pieces. even though she is suppoedly vicious ( NOT!)

sad news about the bunny, i did send you an email, when you have time,


i did order 25 speckled sussex pullets that should be arriving in time for this swap. i shouldnt have, but i couldnt help it, i saw site after site saying they are out and i panicked and well, here i am. lol

and i am excited that i am picking up some chicks for myself at the swap too.

i have been crocheting dishcloths i may bring some of those too, we shall see

I have the set up for chicks. An order of Wyandottes comes in in late April.

spoke to soon, they delivery date was just emailed to me, march 18th, woo close. so they will be day olds for sure when you get them. no problem, i wanted them too.
