March 21 or so hatching

Yep, strange, isn't it? Just make certain that there are no cracks/pips in the eggs otherwise they would drown. You would want the waster
to be at about 100 degrees so that it's the same temp as the egg. If it floats, it's a dud if it's towards the bottom with air cell above water and rocking it's alive. you would have to make sure you let the water have time to settle from sitting the eggs in. If any movement at all I would consider them alive. Hope this helps!

Sorry - I'm going to try this again!

Thank you for the float test advice - all 3 floated :( No movement in them either. I opened them all. 1 was a yolk, 1 stopped developing early, it was small but had a spine and all the parts but fluids were black. The last one was ready to hatch but dead. Not sure what went wrong with that one but it was very interesting to open and see.

400

But I am glad to know our hatch is done. We are in full blown chick mode now!!!!!

I'm sure hoping that it's normal, because I've been chirping to mine all morning. Trying to encourage them. 4 pips. No one seems to be in any big hurry to get out.
