I am in the same situation

i am waiting for eggs that were due yesterday to hatch and I have 24 White Sussex waiting in a cool spot in my bootroom to pop into the bator, when my chicks hop out to my brooder

ain't life grand!

well, I couldn't stand it any more, so I candled again tonight... of the original 18 eggs, 4 were yolkers early on, one quit early, and I just found another one quit tonight. Eggtopsy revealed a dead chick with its insides on the outside, so probably best it passed early. That leaves 12 eggs with bouncing babies inside that have 7 more days to go!!!! Eeeeeeek!

This is a lot of fun. I hope some of the chicks hatch! Since it is my first time, I am really nervous!!

Well, woke up this morning, day 19, to find that my son had unknowingly turned off the power to the incubator (light switch) before going to bed last night.

Temp was 75 and humidity was 89%. I figure the incubator was off for about 6 hours. Sigh. Got it back to where it belongs, now it's a wait and see thing.

If anyone has any extra good hatching vibes, I could sure use some over this way. Had a pretty good hatch going. Darn it.
